weekend on the hills.

ah a successful social weekend. always delightful to spend two days excessively walking with loads of english pubs and colourful houses. Saturday, I ventured up to Notting to see my friend L would just moved to London. I like to think I convinced her, but that's clearly just to boost my ego and power. It's not true. As she is still a newbie, we did some touristy things without being too much of a tourist. It equalled browsing in portobello market (i picked up a vintage dress), her first crazy trip to topshop, getting caught in the teeming rain, and covent garden little wine bar. I think I showed her a good day though. Tourist without being too much so.

Sunday however was similar but a different hill. Went up with my friend T to Primrose hill to catch a good view of London in the sun. Primrose is the place to live, probably on par with the west-end. Noel gallagher, gwen stefani, ewan macgregor, helena bonham carter, kate moss etc all call their home here. After some soft ice cream and a walk in Regent's garden, we again ended up in pub on Baker Street (aka the sherlock holmes area). Recommended as one of the top 10 pubs in London - we stumbled upon it looking for a patio to soak in the infrequent sun. again. love this city for its randomness on finding such gems so frequently and just when you need it.
