this weekend's new visit brought me to 'Little Venice' -- I admit I was expecting a bit different. Touted as 'Little Italy' but with canals and waterways, Little Venice missed the atmosphere that is stereotypically intregrate to an Italian neighbourhood. Maybe it was the expense of the area (no Italians could live here unless they had some serious ties to perhaps Sicily) or maybe it was the fact that it was so spread out that I missed the little shop and restaurant galore area. The girls and I did find a good restaurant with huge pizzas but it was a bit out of the way (recommendation from boss) and that was delightful. I think I'll go back to really explore more, but perhaps not after a freak snowstorm in April.
The canal was fantastic though ---- all the boats that people live in. Crazy!
