Requesting my carriage please? Ah the reasons I can tell that England are old is tenfold - however I think this little adage is so quaint. I've been creating some invitations for work and recieved some invitations - and all tell you when the night is scheduled to end. It tells you by giving you a time for your carriages. That's right - no taxis here, no no it's all about horses and Cinderella type idea.Taking from the Jane Austen years of yore, invitations always stated when you should arrange for your horseman to whisk you back home. And now we still include that in the invitations, as saying taxis, shuttles or just a regular old car is far too low class to be mentioned.
