a little more canadian in london

Living in London results in a lot of desires to be a tourist in my hometown and not enough time. However, I've made it a resolution to see several things in the city and I won't let myself compromise my visits, despite the battle on weekend mornings to get out of the warmth and comfort of my bed.
  1. To visit the hills and parks of the west and north end more often.

  2. Go to a rugby game. Note: I'm going to the Rugby final on 31 May with my flatmate so I've mentally checked that one off.

  3. Tate modern more often. I think that will always be on my list.

  4. borough market for a bit of beef and a lot of organic veggies.

  5. The kew gardens for the henry moore sculptures. I really should support Canadian work here, but only when it's good. This looks fantastic and edgy considering it's in english rose style gardens; and finally

  6. the serpentine gallery.

Recently in the papers, the Serpentine gallery is in Kensington. The gallery is similar to others in London- it has education, exhibitions, talks, art, large scale projects, and publications all side by side. And it just so happens that my resolution to support Canadians here fits in perfectly with this gallery. Frank Gehry is designing the annual temporary pavillion this year. The annual pavillion is obviously an 'annual' thing and acclaimed architects and sculpturists have all tried their hand since 2000. Gehry's is typically quite modern and I can't wait to see this in full scale.
