Missing people who know who people are

In a different country equals different celebrities. I don't know Jordan or Katie Price or whatever she has called herself this week. I don't know the comedians (don't ask me to name them because I really don't know). However, I miss having people know what I'm talking about. Recently, Jimmy Kimmel had his girlfriend Sarah Silverman on his show. They are dating and both are American comedians. Both would be considered relatively well known - perhaps C-list celebrities if I had to rate them. However, C-list = no list here. And trying to explain their relationship, why they are both funny, previous pranks pulled on Matt Damon by Jimmy Kimmel and therefore why the below clips are funny is tiresome and makes the clips not as funny. I miss people just knowing.
