my weekend round up

Perhaps it is easier to do these weekend round-ups. A few fellow bloggers have been doing them quite consistently and I really enjoy them. I feel much more a part of their blog and get more a sense of who they are off the computer. As well, I feel like I'm back in Canada.

I'm still waiting for the Oxford photos to be uploaded on the computer (hence the delay of a weekend-round up). However, with no upload in sight ------ I'll just write it out. (That is also where the pic of my new Orla bag is)

Friday - exhausted and so frustrated at my bank (they screwed me over again....) I came home and watched Rescue Dawn. Not a bad movie, but definitely not worth all the critical hype.
Saturday - plans were ruined with the huge downfall. It rained. And RAINED. Considering it hadn't really poured in a while - I was taken a bit aback and decided to retreat to the local Starbucks with a friend for several hours. Afterwards, I convinced myself and L2 that we really did need to leave the house again and met up with a friend in Covent Garden (she had a visitor). I forgot that tourists stun gun that area and its hard to find a table anywhere. That was unpleasant.
Sunday - getting out of the city meant a daytrip to Oxford. We left a bit late and got quite stressed... thankfully we made it on the train with less than one second to spare. No joke - the doors closed as L2 got in. That was a bit fine. Despite the cold, Oxford was gorgeous and we tried our hand at punting. Well L2 did - I sat like a princess enjoying the gardens and river.

Now back in London and counting down the days till quarter of a century and Switzerland!
