More of that Saturday was rushing home to make it to the ballet. As you can tell, L2 did not disappoint on my v-day celebrations. Again - one of those things that I love but didn't get around to do. I danced traditional ballet for a number of years until my troupe folded and I went on to discover that it's very hard to fit into a new troupe at 14! Also when you're a teenager and expect things to be easy... The best part was that it was three short ballets (enough to keep L2 interested) as the first was with our own canadian Martha Wainwright singing 'seven deadly sins'. Then onto a very contemporary ballet version of Carmen (which was alright but I like pointe rather than flat foot) and finally la grande vitesse. Now that was fun and I think enticed L2 to come back again. A hard job indeed!
