Tis the season to be jolly and joyous.

As I contemplated renting the Bourne Ultimatium this evening, I noticed Kaili's blog on her favourite holiday films. I have to say, nothing gets you in the spirit then rewatching classic or your own version of classic Christmas flicks. My holiday picks this year are:
Really it's all about the rats, Gonzo (who trys to explain omnipresent to children), and singing all the cheesy songs. I used to watch it every year on TBS, until 4 years ago when my boyfriend bought me the DVD. It's been broken out every year. An appreciated Christmas gift indeed.
Only the animation version for me please. Who doesn't love the little dog with the makeshift reindeer outfit? And it does reflect the true meaning of christmas....Plus at 30 minutes, it's a breeze to put you into the spirit without soaking up two hours of your time.
Humourous, Chevy Chase on his game, Beverly D'Angleo when she was good, suprisingly Juliette Lewis thrown in there, and just a general merry time. Favourite Part - the Flying squirrel, the burning of the tree, or the general issue with the Christmas lights.

The Christmas Story:
Because there is so many classic lines that my parents, my brothers, and hopefully my nephew will know.

Scrooged:
I have a weakness for Bill Murray movies. And the classic "Christmas Carol" movie works in this 80's setting.

Honourable Mention: Nightmare before Christmas, The CBC Raccoon special that played every year as a child, and the Sesame Street, Muppet and Fraggle Rock christmas special. The last two might be for nostalgic reasons.
