Naturally, I'm a dark blonde with red undertones. It's hard to recreate my hair colour, so I have no celebrities to match it too. It's frizzy, it's big, but surprisingly there's not a lot of it. Anyway, about two years ago, I thought I should go lighter. Slowly but surely I got to super blonde. This summer, a couple photos looked a bit white blonde. However, maintenance on it got way too much. In the summer, it wasn't as bad because my blonde hair absorbs sun like it's going out of style and lightens naturally. However, as you can see in this pic - the roots are just a tad bit too obvious.
However, in this grey country - the dark roots were taking over. So I've taken the plunge and gone back to dark blonde/light brown. Now I just need that red tint my mom had and my hair will be back to normal. So far, I still surprise myself in the mirror. And my flatmate misses the blonde (but won't pay for the maintenance costs). I miss being thought of as a dumb blonde and then surprising people.
Give me a week, I'm sure I'll be happy that there's no roots.
