Christmas includes

A Haunted House apparently. Despite the off and on rain storm this weekend, my flatmate and I ventured up to Hyde Park to see "Winter Wonderland". Needless to say, it was a bit commercial and lacked a bit of real christmas spirit. The carols were nice, but the german xmas market was a bit lacking in stalls and really the sale of reindeer pelts really dampers my spirit. However, as every English semi-fair, it had a few child rides including a ferris wheel, a virtual trip with frosty, a a helter skelter in snow theme, a tobaggon ride, an ice rink and a haunted house. Yes, that's right a haunted house. I was a bit confused, but as my flatmate apparently adores them - we went on the ride. The skeletons were not even wearing santa hats. However, the ride was far superior to the one in Brighton because no skeleton sneezed on me repeatedly. I came out dry, not at all frightened, and a little confused about the fact that they didn't use any "Nightmare before Christmas" props.
