i'm a big fan of monty python and was very excited to go see Spam-a-lot with my parents and L2. I'll admit - the Finland song was incredible and I'm always impressed with large theatre sets. It is a massive production. But I'm not a fan of musicals any more. I would prefer more plot to the all-singing, all-dancing.
I'll admit the most amusing parts of the show are in the movie. (They did keep them!) It has inspired me to do was rewatch all the python movies this weekend.
