A winter day in London

Well, I have been here a while before I really experienced the London rain. I had consistently told people that it wasn't compared to a Vancouver weekly rainfall and really as long as the sun comes out on the weekend who are we to complain?
I'm still not complaining - but the rain and blustery days have arrived. It's a typical Winnie the Pooh horrible day outside with eeyores in the form of commuters crossing paths. It's not very pretty. It's supposed to stay this way until the end of the week. I'm wondering how long the pavement can last. A drop of rain that isn't cobblestone causes 'the city' pavement become like an ice rink for business shoes. Women in heels are like women with a bad toe pick.
