

Can you really believe these colour photos were taken in the 1920s? Albert Kahn, a French banker and philanthropist, travelled the world in the 20s (yes he had loads of dough!) to collect a photographic record of the world. Before the stock market crash, he collected 180,000 metres of b/w film and 72,000 autochrome plates. The photographs are amazing - they look like an artist rendition. And it reminds me you of all the destruction/construction between the wars...
