In the world of television - England isn't just a few months behind on picking up new series or starting new seasons. They are years. We have soaps that play in the evening, monopolizing primetime... or shows that have been off the screen for years (Friends...)
Recent frustrations have raged in our household over minimal good 'new' shows on our freeview. We are just getting this new series 'Samantha Who'.. there's no Weeds, Mad Men, Big Love, Entourage and I pretty much pine everyday over the fact that the new J.J. Abrams show has no chance. I can't watch them on CTV either because it has noticed that I'm not in the country...
It doesn't matter if it's a hit or not ---- we get some of the worst shows possible from last season, but only 'it's all new in September' ie Gossip Girl. I miss good television. Image via

I feel for you. I could not live without Weeds or MadMen. I wish I could send you a TV care package.
It's always good when more than one person has sympathy.
